Higher Quality Evaluations
We believe that modelers should receive both positive and constructive feedback from our judges as a tool to help them achieve their personal goals in the hobby. For 2025, the fixed entry fee will include four evaluations per modeler. Limiting each entrants’ evaluations will allow judges to focus on providing a better evaluation experience for attendees. Additionally, entrants are encouraged to showcase up to 20 additional models in their display, providing attendees with a comprehensive overview of their work.
Evaluated vs. Display Entries
Evaluated Entries (4 max): Each modeler may select up to four entries to be evaluated. This means they will be judged for Gold/Silver/Bronze and receive judging feedback, AND those entries will qualify for ALL awards (Master, Special, & Club Member Select: see the awards tiers below, and download the Awards list at the bottom of the page for details).

Display Entries (20 max): 20 more models can be entered as Display entries. They will not be judged for GSB or Master Awards, but will qualify for all of the Special Awards and the Club Member Awards.
Four Award Tiers
The Rt. 66 Expo will feature 4 levels of awards for modelers to earn.
-
GSB: All evaluated entries will be eligible to earn a Gold, Silver, or Bronze Challenge coin, commensurate with the level of work presented.
-
Master Awards: The traditional “Best of Awards” will recognize the most outstanding evaluated entries in their respective classes and present the Best of Show award to the most exceptional winner.
-
Special Awards: These awards will recognize “Outstanding” builds that incorporate unique themes, regardless of whether they are evaluated or display entries.
-
Club Member Awards: These awards, personally selected and presented by members of TMF/TMM, recognize outstanding subjects that are close to their hearts. Both evaluated and display entries are eligible for these awards.
